Hope you are having a good week. We will have our first lab starting tomorrow at S1 Gilman. Doug and I will do lab orientations around every hour depending on how many people show up. We will go over lab safety and basic lab techniques which should take around an hour. You are more than welcome to stay after the orientation and work on the car to get some of your hours fulfilled!
Please refer to the day you are coming below:
1. Thursday: We should not have problems with the lab being crowded. Doug and I will be in lab from 2pm-5pm. Please show up close to the hour your signed up for. For example, if you signed up from 3-5pm, please show up close to 3pm. We will wait for a certain amount of people to show up at each hour before going over lab safety and basic lab techniques.
2. Friday: Doug and I will be in the lab from 1-5pm. We have a bit too many people (more than 7 people, which exceeds our max. number) signed up for 2pm so if you can attend the 1pm, 3pm, or 4pm orientations, please do so.
For those who are new to S1 Gilman, it can be accessed only from the outside (not the usual entrance to Gilman in the chem plaza). To enter S1 Gilman, approach Gilman Hall from the south side and search for the only door on the ground level that is connected to the street (it has a couple of steps that make the level of the door below the asphalt).
